Literature Text

You stared at the sky, a clear blue hue with fluffy light orange clouds soaring down below after leaving ___________ last night and now the time was nine fifteen in the morning. You and Ash, your friend who was kind enough to let you stay over for three years, were meant to go together for Alfred's surprise which you wanted to avoid but your friend convinced you otherwise. However your friend was too sick to attend and had to excuse herself for the week, and because of this, you had all of your personal belongings packed in a suitcase by your friend and while in your sleep, you were dragged off and placed in the back for no reason along with your luggage, got to the airport and found yourself in a seat on its way to __________.

You looked beside you to see a young teenage girl with fiery red colored hair and blue eyes that were paying close attention to her magazine, and you thought it would be wrong to talk with this girl and turned your head to the plane window.

You sighed deeply and looked out the window, your head throbbing of the thoughts lurching of him and if he was going to come to this reunion of yours and what he was doing now. The thought made you feel depressed, and as you thought, the feeling hadn't passed away since the day you left out the house and never got Alfred to explain himself.

After those years, you changed a little but your figure and everything else stayed the same. You somewhat grew tall, but not at the freakish height your friend was who outranked you as the third tallest person you ever knew, and the first was obviously Alfred. Your hair still stayed the same; ________ colored hair at its same length since three years ago, since you never thought about cutting it at the time. And still your eyes remained its lovely ________ color which reflected you from the airplane window you faced with great depression.

You wondered to yourself what was Alfred going to say when he was trying to convince you to listen to him, was it...

That girl came to me, not me going to her!

Or maybe...

We knew each other since high school, and I still liked her and we met at a local bar. We had a few drinks and things got crazy, okay?

Or worse yet, the words you thought that he would had said haunted you for so long...

She made me feel special, ________. I couldn't get you to smile or laugh or do anything I wanted, so I cheated on you. I was tired of this relationship we had, and she makes me feel more better than you did. I'm sorry I cheated on you, but... I want us to break up.

"Please don't say that..."

The teenage girl looked over to you and tapped your shoulder, you looked at the girl and she asked what was wrong. You apologized and told her it was nothing which she believed and returned reading her magazine as you face the world above you.

Twenty minutes later, you were getting out finding a cab from the humongous airport that had dozens of tourists and people who were trying to get out of this state quickly for their reasons. One cab finally came and you got inside, the man who was Asian was kind enough to put away your one luggage and the other luggage your friend packed for you which was going to be useless the trip. Ash reserved a room for you to stay in, which was called Victorian Suite, a three star hotel with high expectations of people who were famous, wealthy, or just somehow lucky enough to get in a place that was too magnificent for your taste. It wasn't because you were cheap, you knew how to control your money when you had to.

No less than an hour after mentally groaning at this idea of going to this special meeting Alfred had planned for all of you and other people to come, you finally made it to Victorian Suite. Your ___________ eyes shot straight forward at the suite which was tall, almost as tall as the Eiffel tower or even high than that with people dressed finely in velvet opening doors to the people who entered the suite and everything seemed beautiful in its velvet and brownish colors that surround the walls.

You paid the man who drove you, took out both luggage that were both dark blue but with dozens of national flags all over the case and started carrying the huge load up the steps of the suite, not believing how many steps there were plus the weight of the suitcase. But after the kind gentlemen with copper-blond hair and green eyes saw you, he took your luggage and guide you inside, which you thanked him and allowed him to take the baggage as your eyes wander completely in basque of the hotel.

Everything here just screamed "valuable and expensive," because there was a fountain of an angel pouring a large vase of water like a waterfall down at the pool, curtains around every column with a golden rope to keep hold, people wearing amazing designer clothing from all over the country and the thought of you, in your clothes now, made you feel like an outcast of society. You stood out from all the rich folks and some of them glanced your way and you tried to ignore the constant stares but it made you feel weak on your knees just feeling watched like a mouse.

"________, is that you?"

You turned around to see behind you a man with blond hair, lime-green eyes and him wearing a good-looking suit of dark blue with a dark green tie around his neck. Right then you remembered who this man was when you ran up to him and hugged him.

"Arthur, it's great to see you!"

When you pulled away, you noticed Arthur's eyes looking at you as if this was his first time seeing you.

"_, you look ravishing!" Arthur said, giving you a pat on the shoulder. "You still look the same;but look how much you've grown!"

You chuckled bashfully, "Thanks, Iggy!"

Arthur blushed profoundly and said, "Please don't call me that, it's embarrassing..."

Soon the both of you were walking side-by-side, going over to the fountain where more of Arthur's friends were sitting nearby. Some of them introduced themselves while the others rapidly hugged you out of nowhere because they hadn't seen you for so long. But when some asked you why you left out of nowhere, you couldn't bring yourself to speak the truth and try to make another subject for the conversation to avoid anything to do with Alfred.

Arthur, who made a sour face every time someone asked you what happened three years ago, knew about what Alfred did and couldn't believe that it happened. You glanced at Arthur who was talking to a man with silver hair and red eyes who also wore a suit, and you smiled at him because you couldn't have a better friend than him.

After meeting some of old you went up to your room which was number 207 and luckily with your baggage on two separate beds; you started unpacking your clothes. All of your clothes were wrinkled, curtsy of Ash, and she forgotten to pack you some underwear and bras for the week. As you unpacked what you had, you looked around the room, the beds were queen-sized beds with silk sheets of white, the wallpaper and floorboards looked brand new in its way.

The floor was soft oak, and the color looked brilliantly dark brown with the scent of lemon from the polish. Outside you and Ash got to see half of the city with its buzzing traffic cars, buildings blocking some view of the mountains yet showed its colorful blue skies of blue with hints of dusty white clouds flowing through the air.

"I wonder what Alfred has in store for all of us?" You asked yourself in your empty room. "He must've moved on by now, and hopefully I will, too." And then you laughed when you finished packing. "Maybe it's something stupid like always, like he got a high score on Mario or he rode on the Rushing Basher fifty times like he wanted to and didn't puke. Those were the dumb things he liked to brag about... As stupid as they sounded, they were my favorites."

You shook your head, what were you saying? After putting your bags away in the closet near the bathroom, you combed your hair to look presentable and dashed out the room to get to the foyer.

You got into an elevator, pushing the number one where the elevator went down until you heard a loud ding and the doors opened wide to show some people moving away for them to leave. You got out the elevator and started making your way down the hallway, where Alfred booked for his special announcement to take place in the foyer. A strange pain surged in your stomach as you got down to the large doors closed.

When you went up the door and opened it just a little, you took a peek inside to see loads of people all in chairs as some chatted to the people next to them to pass the time. You went inside cautiously, looking around to see if there were some other chairs to seat, and luckily Arthur who was behind the end of the row had two spare chairs next to him. Ash raced over to Arthur and sat next to him and you sat at the end, looking at the stage that had a huge sign saying...

CONGRADULATIONS TO NATALIA AND ALFRED!

"Hey Arthur, isn't Natalia Ivan's litte sister?" You asked Arthur who looked at you with a surprised face as if you didn't get the memo Alfred had a woman friend with him.

"Oh, she's Alfred's fiancé," Arthur said. "They've been together since last year, and are getting married on Friday."

Your heart started to pound quickly, your brow furrowed together as you clutched your stomach because you started to feel sick again. You couldn't believe that Alfred was getting married, after these many years of you apart, he was the one who moved on about getting married to someone else. Could it be possible that Alfred was getting married to the woman who he was dating behind her back? You didn't know, and the thought of him being with the one who got him to cheat on you was truly horrid to think.

Arthur looked at you worryingly and asked if you were okay, but you nodded to him as you tried to control your breathing so it wouldn't worry everyone around you. Everyone around the room started clapping wildly when you saw two people walking up the stage together, hand-and-hand, waving at everyone as they flashed their smiles to the people.

You looked at the woman who wasn't smiling whatsoever. Her hair looked platinum blonde hair and her eyes of dark blue that looked deadly at all the people who clapped for them. What was going on? This didn't make any sense with Alfred marrying her, you actually knew that Natalia and Alfred never got along so well because of her brother, Ivan.

But then you looked at Alfred, who seemed the same as always with his dirty blond hair, light blue eyes that were covered with glasses that reflected in the spotlights. He wore an Italian suit in black that looked so professional on him when he stopped with his wife at the front stage.

"Hey dudes," Alfred greeted, "I wanna thank you for comin' tonight! I got a great announcement to make, two of them, actually! First of all, I'm going to be marrying my love Natalia this week," He looked over to his fiancé. "And secondly, we're both going to Greece for the year for our honeymoon after the wedding. Everyone in this room is invited for the epic after party and I'm hosting it cause I'm the hero!"

The whole room cheered the both of them, but only you didn't cheer for the happy couple...
